Cashback depends on cookies, session records and similar technology (together “cookies”). This policy explains them.
1. What cookies we use
| Type | Examples / purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login session, security, CSRF, remembering a district selection, load balancing | Not optional; the Platform cannot work without them |
| Cashback tracking | Records that you clicked ‘Activate Cashback’ and links your later retailer purchase to your account; lifespan set by the retailer or network, usually 7–30 days | Needed for the cashback service you asked for; by activating cashback you agree |
| Preferences | Language, display and list choices | Optional |
| Analytics | Pages visited, errors, performance, aggregated and, where possible, anonymised | Optional; we ask first |
| Marketing | Measuring our own ads and offers, only if enabled in future | Optional; we ask first |
2. Third-party cookies
When you go to a retailer through the Platform, the retailer or its affiliate network sets its own cookies to track the sale. We do not control them. Their policies apply.
3. Your choices
- You can accept or reject optional cookies on the cookie banner and change your choice later from the link in the site footer.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block tracking cookies, ad-blockers or privacy extensions, or you leave the browser session, your cashback may not be tracked and we cannot give it to you.
- Clearing cookies after you click ‘Activate Cashback’ and before you buy can also break tracking.
4. Do-not-track
The Platform does not currently respond to browser “do not track” signals, but optional cookies stay off until you choose.
5. Other tracking technology
We may use server logs, device IDs, QR scans at stores, and pixel/postback links from retailers for the same purposes as above.
